Our History
The Truth or Consequences Community Theatre, Inc. (TCCT) is a totally volunteer 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization which was founded in 1991 by theatre starved residents who saw the need for live theatre and filled it.
For over 19 seasons TCCT has continuously produced high quality entertainment for grateful residents and guests in and around Sierra County. The Theatre has produced more than 30 plays which ranged from serious Shakespearean drama to hilarious comedies and has also staged a Youth Talent Revue.
Recently the repertoire has expanded to include Mystery Dinners where the diners get to participate in solving “the crime.”
TCCT actively participates in the community with such events as Fiesta and recently partnered with the Black Box Theatre in Las Cruces, NM.
TCCT is a member of The American Association of Community Theatres. In the spring of 2003 TCCT won an award for technical merit for its participation in the ACCT State Competition in Los Alamos, NM. More recently, in 2005, TCCT won the State Champion for Best Performance and Best Director at the ACCT competition in Artesia, NM.
